When I say I’ve got a lot on my plate and I’m striving to keep my life in balance, I’m not kidding. I can’t get over how busy this year has been so far. There have been so many events to cover for The Compass newspaper that most of my weekends have been spent going […]

Interview with Working Mother Amanda Lauer
I had the honor last week of being interviewed by Erin McCole Cupp, author of the biblical historical fiction ebook “Working Mother.” The book is available on Kindle through Amazon for only $.99! Here’s the synopsis: “With her husband disabled and out of work and her child in mortal danger, a mother must leave her family […]
CONTINUE READINGLet’s Start A Movement!
These thoughts have been brewing in my mind for a while but some things I recently noticed on Facebook inspired me to write this post today. Social media can be a blessing or a curse. It can create powerful change, it can bring light to topics which need to be exposed, it can educate and […]
CONTINUE READINGIt’s getting exciting now
Wow, a lot has happened since A World Such as Heaven Intended was published in October. There have been book signings (that was somewhat surreal), virtual interviews, a story in The Post-Crescent newspaper, a blurb in The Compass newspaper, a free Kindle version giveaway (2,100 books distributed in 72 hours, wow!), the book has hit […]
CONTINUE READINGInquiring Minds Want to Know
Usually I’m the one doing the interview, today the shoe’s on the other foot thanks to Erin McCole Cupp, author and blogger extraordinaire at Will Write For Tomato Pie. CONTINUE READINGBeginning a Second Novel Today!
It’s super exciting to watch the process as my novel is being rolled out to the mass market. First came the launch on Kindle via Amazon. Every step of the way this book has been looked over with a fine-toothed comb. Consequently, there have been more tweaks than I ever could have imagined are possible. […]
CONTINUE READINGToday’s the day I’ve been dreaming of for six years!
This is it! After six years of blood, sweat and tears my novel is out on Amazon today! It’s currently available on Kindle but will be out in paperback on Oct. 28. It’s so surreal to look at the page on Amazon that has my book on it. This is really one of the coolest […]
CONTINUE READINGWouldn’t it be nice if A World Such as Heaven Intended made someone’s Top 10 Book List someday?
There’s been lots of posts on Facebook lately where people are listing the top 10 books that have stayed with them in some way. That got me to thinking about my book, A World Such as Heaven Intended that will be available on Amazon October 27. Wouldn’t that be something if my book made someone’s list […]
CONTINUE READINGJill of All Trades
Jack of all trades, master of none? More like Jill of all trades, master of some. There’s no doubt about it, I’m juggling a lot of things lately. No two days are ever the same around here. But being busy and being challenged are two of my favorite things so it’s all good. […]
CONTINUE READINGA World Such as Heaven Intended Cover Choices
It’s getting real now! Just got these two mock ups of potential covers for my novel from my publisher. The publishing date is set for October 1, 2014. I’m looking for feedback. Do you like one better than the other? Would this novel catch a person’s eye if they enjoy historical fiction, romance novels or both? Would there be any appeal to this for men or more for women? Do these covers entice you to want to read this book? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
